Why is my hot tub water higher than where I set my temperature?

The three primary causes for this are your outside temperature and/or the internal temperature within the spa cabinet is higher than your preset temperature. The second cause when the filtration pump is on, it generates heat. Plus, the equipment within the interior of the cabinet radiates heat. Both of these factors will cause your spa temperature to rise.
